This study compared the genotoxic potential of a polymeric associative thickener used in topically applied emulsions preserved with three different preservative systems. The method used for the assessment of genotoxicity is the in vitro micronucleus test [Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) guideline number 487].
